This oversize playbill of "Romeo and Juliet" was one of the ballets selected by the owners of Wexford Dance Academy (www.wexforddance.com), to be painted on the walls of their new lobby. Using the city of Verona, instead of the 2 lovers, gives the poster a fresh feel... and the right setting! A brewing storm at sunset, and long dark shadows help convey the impending somber events. "Old English type" reminds all viewers that the ballet's story is based on the play by Shakespeare. |
